Abuse of Power

  1. In this sense the "Culture of Power" is evil and powerful amongst black people of color, because we are controlled by white standards in society." They CONTROL other races judgments of verbal proficiency and correct, or incorrect, language skills, including speech". (June Jordan pg. 293). Being abusive leads to other altercations in society, making others feel disadvantaged and unfortunate. As minority races BESIDES WHITE are tormented and treated as if they don't exist. Lisa Delpit states "The rules of culture of power are a reflection of the rules of the culture of those whose have power".

  2. I believe that white people abuse there power sometime without even realizing it. That is a problem when it comes to the Culture of Power in the education system. Whites don't realize its in place, so they not on purpose, but they abuse their power.
