The school systems are geared towards middle class whites causing students of different backgrounds to fail in and out of the classroom. We argue that school systems need to adjust their curriculum to fit all of their students. The education system needs to be more diverse giving everyone a equal chance to succeed.
When the word teachers is typed into google, the majority of pictures that come up are white teachers. This simple detail shows the cultural of power between whites and blacks in the education system. It is clear that most of the teachers are known to be white teachers. However, most of these white teachers do not come from the same backgrounds of all their students. The white teacher can not often relate to their students due to them having different cultural backgrounds. The lack of reliability causes teachers to sometimes misinterpret colored students and the reasons behind for their behaviors.
In this screenshot, there are 44 pictures that come up, 29 of those pictures when teachers is typed in on Google images,are white teachers. That is the problem with the education system. There are to many white teachers and not enough teachers of different races, backgrounds, and ethnicity. Even when there are non white teachers, there is a "Silenced Dialogue" between the white and non-white teachers causing non-white teachers to feel that they are not being listened to. Student's educations are at stake here. If we want the next and future generations to be able to succeed in school, more diversity among teachers needs to be present.
