  1. A classroom is suppose to be a learning environment, where students acquire their education through their teachers as resources. Every teacher doesn't understand the child backgrounds or the circumstances they come from. Each child comes from a different background, and not all children are raised the same or fortunate like others. It's significant that all student have a teachers who they can relate to, and provide a support system for them during their academic career. I agree with Jones statement “ So having teachers that are culturally sensitive and that have similar backgrounds has always been viewed as a value added to any school situation”, because teacher and students of the same background learn more from each other. The teacher creates a better understanding for a child who once lived in the same predicament as them.
